Last Saturday, I headed back to The Grand Hotel in Swanage for the last time this year, for the wedding of Clare and Neil.

A much changed day from my last visit too!

Not much sun around this time, in fact quite the opposite.

A stormy day, windy with heavy downpours to contend with, but nothing could dampen the spirits of the happy couple or their family and friends.

Enough of a break in the weather allowed the ceremony to take place outside in the marquee, and the sun even made the briefest of appearances to grab a few photo’s in the gardens with Clare and Neil before heading back indoors.

A Formula One car, adorned the front of the hotel, ( a wedding demand of Neil’s so I am told), providing a fun photo booth of sorts, certainly something different.

Eventually time to head in for something to eat, the speeches and cutting of the cake. Darkness fell, and after dinner we even had a few sparklers to enjoy watching on from the cozy conservatory whilst some of us idiots braved the outdoor world to help light them and to take some pictures! Time then to hit the dance floor, the first dance followed soon by Dads dance (a tradition I really like) and then everyone else joined the happy couple to dance the night away.

Another lovely day with lovely people, just the way it should be.

Congratulations Clare and Neil x
