I’m so pleased that an Abbots Court Wedding is back on for this year – the venue has been resurrected with new owners, and is set to be one of Dorset’s great wedding venues.
It’s a beautiful, intimate house with fab gardens and great views.
Below is a real wedding story of the very first Abbots Court Wedding – it’s Sarah & Richard’s big day.

A brand new venue for me, and the first ever Abbots Court wedding too!

Abbots Court in Winterborne Kingston in the middle (and I mean literally in the middle) of the stunning Dorset countryside, is a beautiful Victorian former farmouse that just oozes romance, luxury and charm. Run by the fantastic people from The Tickled Pig it’s full of happy caring talented people to cater for your every whim. Oh and the food, the food, need I say more!

Sarah and Richard who found this gem of a place to get married in took a great deal of time planning their intimate wedding, just three months from start to finish! Yes just three months; but they did cram an awful lot of planning into that time. But did they get it right? You bet they did, every detail was perfectly formed and their special day was just that, special. Even the weather was on their side, storms and high winds were predicted, (and the day before it was quite horrid) but come the day the winds subsided, the clouds gradually dissipated and the sun came out and graced this lovely couple’s day with bright autumnal rays.

Good company, good food, a beautiful setting a fantastic couple, a romantic intimate wedding, yes, a perfect day indeed.
