Honestly – I love a Coppleridge Inn Wedding. I come back time and again every year, and love it from the outdoor ceremonies in the woods to the marquee in the courtyard.
Below is a real wedding story of a recent Coppleridge Inn Wedding – it’s Nicki & Andy’s big day.
If you’re looking for a photographer for your own wedding at the Coppleridge Inn, do get in touch – I’d love to have a chat about your own plans!
Last Saturday the sun shone, the skies were blue and all was set for Nicki and Andy’s wedding at the Coppleridge Inn near Shatesbury in Dorset.
A visit to the house in the morning (also to be the location of the recpetion later), to catch up with Nicki and the girls and then off to the Coppleridge to find Andy and wait for Nicki’s arrival.
Family and guests all assembled, Andy standing proud, nervous, but ready and waiting. Accompanied by her Dad Nicki and the girls meandered their way through the dappled copse to the beautiful woodland setting for her marriage to Andy.
Husband and wife at last Andy and Nicki made their way out of the charming little wood into the sunshine, and then through a blistering haze of confetti, to finally be joined and congratulated by their family and friends.
Time to chill in the sunshine, enjoy prosecco, and scrumptious ice-cream from the ice-cream tricycle parked carefully under the shade of a tree. I think one or two people definitely made the most of this sweet treat, returning several times to try different flavours, naming no names of course!
A few family formal photographs before it was time to go our seperate ways. Andy, Nicki, the girls and I off to find a beautiful open field of wheat with far reaching views for a few romantic pictures. Whilst family and friends made their way back to the happy couple’s home to wait for their return for the reception.
Back at at last, Andy and Nicki entered through the garden gate to be greated home by all. The beautifully decorated garden, strung with fairy lights, flowers on every surface and bales of hay for seats, made for a perfect back-drop for Andy and Nicki’s wedding reception. Everyone was fed by a fab hog roast, and after Andy and Nicki cut their lovely wedding cake, this too was readily shared out amongst everyone.
A quick speech of thanks from Andy, and then time to head into the small but perfectly formed marquee for the first dance, how lovely.
Congratulations Nicki and Andy, it was a perfect day.
Here are just a few pictures from the many taken ….
