I don’t usually like to do the humble brag thing, but I was surprised and pleased to recieve notification of this yesterday, that I have been voted Best Dorset Wedding Photographer 2020.
I’ve won awards before of course, but this one actually means a lot. It doesn’t rely on one carefully edited and primped up image, on me drumming up votes, or even on me paying to enter (I actually only found out a few weeks ago I’d been nominated – thank you, whoever did that!).
They say ….
“…the 2020 Global Wedding Awards are based on merit, not the number of votes received. Our process works to ensure that we reward parties based on their excellence in the industry, the quality of their products and their dedication to service. To move successfully from nominee to winner, there must be evidence of extensive expertise and skills, dedication to customer service and client satisfaction with an ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation.”
It’s always nice to be awarded on being more than just a pretty face (or photograph) – being a good wedding photographer has always been about doing so much more than taking good photographs.
It’s not been formally announced publically yet, but the weather’s still rubbish, the world’s apparently doomed to a summer of being unwell, and I just thought I’d share a small “Go me!” for a change!
Bows, exit stage right ;)
(Sneaks back in to say, if you are looking for your own Best Dorset Wedding Photographer 2020, whether that is for a grand Smedmore House wedding or a quirky wedding on a Dorset farm then please do get in touch. I am always happy to hear from anyone whatever the budget, whatever the venue, I just love a good ole wedding)
