Last week I had the pleasure of sharing in the very intimate wedding of Kate & Dean – the guest list was simply the couple themselves plus both sets of parents. That’s it – yes, just the six of them… and me trying very hard not to be noticed ;)
I joined Kate as she was getting ready at The Hollies Hotel in Martock, in time for final hair and make up touches. Kate is so tiny in stature that her beautiful lace-covered fishtail dress had to be shortened dramatically; thankfully she has a Mum who’s clever with a needle, and I’m told all the excess cut offs were carefully stored away to create a special memory keepsake.
Then it was off on the short drive to the spectacularly situated Prince of Wales on Ham Hill for the ceremony, where Dean was patiently waiting with his parents.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for Kate & Dean, and once they were officially husband and wife we took a short wander to enjoy the glorious view from Ham Hill , basking in the late Spring sunshine.
It was only a short day for me, and I left the wedding party enjoying a drink together in the garden before they headed back inside for the wedding breakfast.
Thank you so much Kate and Dean – it was genuinely a privilege to be able to record such a private and personal wedding with you and your lovely parents, and I wish you both the very best in your future together.
Don’t forget, if you would like to see Kate and Dean’s whole wedding album when it goes live, click the following link and add your details to be automatically notified.
